For donors: how it works

Each mosaic is a shared canvas dedicated to a specific charity or project. Pixels on the canvas have a fixed price, and you pay only for the pixels you change.

Create your account and add a secure payment method using Stripe.
Pick a mosaic you want to support and load funds (“tokens”) into your account.
Use drawing tools to place, edit, and design with pixels until you love the result.
Hit Commit to see the total cost; confirm to fund your design and lock it into the mosaic.

Creative tools included: pen, eraser, rectangle, oval, selection, lasso (move/copy pixels), text, image upload, undo/redo, and a Revert button to clear your current session before you commit. The live pixel counter in the bottom right shows exactly how many pixels you have changed.

Classic: permanent pixels Once you commit and pay, your pixels are permanent. Erasing or changing what you placed later costs the same as painting over new pixels.

Dynamic: bidding pixels Designs can be changed by others, but each previously used pixel increases in price. Early donors pay the least, while later donors can overwrite pixels by paying the higher current cost.

Tokens you buy are held for future use; unused funds are not refunded, similar to purchasing art supplies for a community mural. Every confirmed commit immediately allocates the corresponding donation to the charity associated with that mosaic.

BidMosaic creates a playful, visual way for your supporters to give, celebrate milestones, and tell stories together on a single digital canvas. Each mosaic can be dedicated to your organization or to a specific campaign or project.

Your charity connects a Stripe account so that all donations flow directly to you; BidMosaic is a technology platform and does not act as a fundraiser or donation intermediary. You retain full visibility into payments through your Stripe dashboard and standard nonprofit reporting tools.

Every mosaic can be customized with your branding, campaign description, fundraising goal, and start/end dates. You set the per‑pixel price, choose whether designs are permanent or bid‑based, and define any additional content guidelines that reflect your mission.

Content & refund policy
BidMosaic reserves the right to remove or edit any content that is inappropriate, offensive, or inconsistent with the values of the featured charity. Removed or overwritten content is not refunded: purchasing pixels is like buying paint for a community mural—once the paint is used, the cost is non‑recoverable even if someone later paints over it. Any subsequent changes to pixels, including erasing or recoloring, are treated as new purchases at the current pixel price.

To receive funds, your organization will connect a Stripe account during onboarding. Stripe provides PCI‑compliant, secure payment processing so donor payment details are never stored on BidMosaic’s servers.

Once connected, donations from your mosaics are routed directly to your Stripe account. You can withdraw funds on your normal Stripe payout schedule and export data for your accounting and donor‑management systems.
